I was going to question you on the Admiral’s remarks THEN I remembered that the Admiral’d had communications with his mom on & off over the years. Not having seen her in some time he nonetheless is obviously overjoyed about seeing his mom & the reunion with her ‘presumed dead’ husband.
I’m curious about that girl at the barn who remarked about seeing the Commander & the Cap’n there at the barn leaving the message. I know that this is conjecture & probably way off the mark but I wonder…..

………is this girl possibly the Cap’n’s daughter with his wife who never said anything to the Admiral when she took off to avoid scandal (due to the perceived betrayal by Kellin) & took up the pirate’s mantle?
I’m just sayin’, is all.
